Fallacy of Paronymous Terms or Figures of Speech
This Fallacy arises when we consider that the words derived from the same root have the sense[1]
Example: Since men are able to reason and he is a man, he is reasonable. Here, the word “reasonable” does not have the same meaning as the expression “able to reason”, though the words “reason” and “reasonable” are derived from the same root.
